All Saints Curriculum
At All Saints we are very proud of our broad and balanced curriculum which caters for children aged 3-11 years. Our curriculum follows the National Curriculum (2014), which gives a framework for in-depth learning in all subjects through the programmes of study.
Intent
At our school, we believe every child deserves a learning journey that is both ambitious and supportive. Our curriculum goes far beyond a simple list of subjects; it is a carefully crafted experience where each lesson builds naturally on the last, helping new ideas "stick" and turn into lifelong knowledge. By setting clear goals for every unit, we ensure our teaching stays focused on helping your child succeed. Most importantly, we are committed to inclusive excellence—tailoring our approach to remove barriers for students with special educational needs or those from disadvantaged backgrounds—so that our high expectations are within reach for every single learner.
We have created an ambitious curriculum, which at its heart has the aim of giving all children, especially vulnerable pupils, the knowledge and cultural capital they need to fulfil their unique potential. We have identified 6 core skills, which are threaded throughout our curriculum, that children develop across each subject.

Implementation
Our teachers bring learning to life by turning everyday lessons into active, exciting adventures that get children thinking deeply and asking great questions. With a wealth of expertise, our staff are brilliant at breaking down tricky topics into simple steps, spotting where a child might get stuck before it even happens, and leading classroom discussions that broaden every pupil's perspective. We don't just wait for a test to see how your child is doing; our teachers use their skills to check in constantly, clearing up any "muddled" ideas the moment they pop up. This expert-led approach ensures that instead of just memorising facts for a day, our students truly understand what they’ve learned and can confidently use that knowledge in new and challenging ways.
‘Big Questions’ enable our children to draw upon an increasingly broad range of knowledge and skills to articulate their responses. By applying their learning to open-ended questions, children are able to explore their own ideas with others, give reasoned explanations and understand different viewpoints; this work helps to develop a deeper understanding fundamental British Values.
Impact
At our school, we believe the greatest success of our curriculum is seeing our pupils grow into confident, independent learners who are ready to take on the world. We are dedicated to making sure every child has what they need to succeed, clearing away any obstacles so they can navigate their own path with pride and resilience. By encouraging children to take charge of their own progress and bounce back from challenges, we see them produce work of truly high quality that shows just how much they have grown. This focus on independence means our students don’t just move through the ages and stages; they transition to the next stage of their lives as curious, well-rounded individuals who feel valued for who they are. Ultimately, we are here to help your child become a proactive citizen, ready to step into the future and grab every opportunity for success with both hands.
